About the Committee

What Is The Plum Borough Republican Committee?

We are an active group of volunteers working together to promote Republican ideals and to support local, county, state, and national Republican candidates.  We are the grassroots of the Republican Party in our community.  From homemakers to business people, engineers to retirees, men and women, young and old, we are committed to promoting Republican principles and getting more Republican candidates elected.  During the election cycle, you may find us putting up campaign signs, distributing literature, or working the polls on Election Day.

We hold monthly meetings on the 4th Thursday of each month at 7:00pm at the Plum Senior Center which are well attended by local and county candidates.  Our meetings are a forum to meet with Republican candidates, discuss local issues, plan our campaign strategy and fund-raising activities, and just enjoy the company of fellow Republicans.

There is one committee man and one committee woman position available in each of the 21 voting districts in Plum Borough.

Committee members are elected to 4 year terms in the Presidential Primary Elections. In between elections, new members can be appointed to unfilled committee positions by majority vote of the Plum Committee with the approval of the Chair of the Republican Committee of Allegheny County.

We invite you to attend our meetings and see for yourself.
